HBSG25 with size A. I could have ground this a little more, but I just wrapped this quick for the picture. When it counts, I'll be using Size B thread.
Blank is CAlstar 7465M

I wonder if that's the rod you told me about. Looks great. Is that pattern in the book?

Fred, Fisheyes are an XL XcLusive, lol. There's a coat of 811, 2 coats of Permaglos, and one extremely thin coat of Threadmaster on the wrap. Waht looks like a fisheye is actually a valley from teh mountain of thread at teh crossover point to teh right.

Billy, one coat of 811 was enough to keep the tread from bleeding and such?

Very, very nice wrap!! I like the way the background fades in. That effect always knocks me out, like the pattern is just emerging from the fog or something, or kind of floating. Almost looks air-brushed. Wonderful.

Ralph, I've been using 1 coat of CP on EVERY wrap that I do for the past 2 years. I'm not going to lie, I haev had some threads bleed, but not in a long, long time. If the CP is thin enough, and you apply it properly (lots and lots of it then wick the excess off) the second coat of CP will just sit on top, just like the epoxy does. I'm NOT recommending this to anyone, it's just what I do and what works well enough for me to continue. If you apply 2 coats and are pleased, by all means continue to apply 2 coats. IMO, tight thread packing has more to do with threads "bleeding" than 10 coats of CP, lol.
