The rod blank is a Diamondback Golden Shadow (honey color with the signature weave). The handle was turned from Maple Burl and the reel seat insert from Birch Burl (mortised). I used gold cap/ring hardware along with gold single foot guides with ceramic inserts. I used a gold Fuji Style folding hookeeper. I used Light Brown NCP for the main wraps with Gold NCP for the trim bands.

I put on a few coats of MinWax Polyurethane gloss finish, while using 0000 steel wool in between the coats.
