I had posted this reel seat and at the time stated that I was worried if it would hold. We the answer is AHHHHHHHH NO. Because the pearl in the seat is the stuff that is turning black I decided to run some test on it. I taped it to the blank and bounced it on the floor, not all that hard. One bounce. HO well back to the drawing board. I will make this work and already have ideas.

No big deal, the only way you would know is if you tried & tested it on one of your own rods. Now you know waht doesn't work, hopefully you'll find a material & method that DOES work. GReat job.
