He's going to have to mow your lawn for the next year. I'm assuming it's a he. Good job Ellis.

The blank is an Allstar blank that I bought from Andy Dear last year and it is black. It was 6'6" but my neighbor wanted it cut to six feet. He wants it to cast under boat stalls and such. It worked out very well and with my casting reel on it, it balanced right under the front end of the reel.
Yes, Jim, he came by today to do another mowing. I got the pattern for the letters out of an old crossstich book that I bought at a used book store. The letters were already on a grid so it was easy to transfer the pattern to PCStitch. I have had nothing but fun using the Wonder Weaver and after a years use it is just like new.

Pretty cool! One of these days I'll figure out the weave deal. I've got to spend some time at home first.

I used NCP size A thread and it worked out very well. The rod was not a gift. This man is retired and to stay busy he mows some of our other neighbors' yards. We worked out a deal where he would mow my lawn in exhange for the rod.
