A seven ring section of Birch Rings is the center of this fly handle. Checkered foam done on JJ's Jig from Custom Tackle. I'll 'Barkley' inlay something into the end piece. Couple of coats of Birchwood Casey should make it jump.

Now you're hooked!!! Nice work. Do you mean the aluminum cork jig? They haven't made the JJ in years.

Beautiful handles. Nice arrangement of the different colors. What material did you use for your small pie shaped pieces?

Ellis, the foam is 2mm sheet foam. "Wrightway Sports" makes it in smaller sheets for fly tyers. I love some off their creative colors for handle rings. You can also get lots of colors of the foam at Hobby Lobby, Wally World and most art or fabric stores. Glue two different color rings on top of each other. Then cut out the pie pieces in a jig. Re-glue after that in your checker pattern. Fun!
