These were the first rods I made for Paul Elias who was sponsored on the tour by Zebco. He was known for his "kneel n' reel" technique that won him a Bassmaster Classic tournament. Notice the double triggered reel seat which I hold a patent on and later sold the rights to Zebco. Yep, you guessed it right....it became the Rhino Rod available in every K-Mart, Wal-Mart and Sports Authority across the country. About the only thing I did worth talking about in my rodbuilding days.

Quite an accomplishment! I hope you made a few bucks. Something to be proud of anyway. Nice EVA work too!

Pretty cool! Wouldn't have thought a custom rod would have inspired the Walmart Zebco Rhino Rods.

Great works Jack. Here we are thinking we are exploring new ground only to find we are on a well trodden path.

Jack,The fact that Billy V. spelled "THE instead of "TEH" is an indication to the respect your work and name deserve!Keep em` comin`.You should enter some of your handles in the handle contest going on.No one would know they were built 15 years ago.
