WOW. The dark wood makes the insert POP. The Corian trim is a nice touch, I like this one a LOT.

Billy Thanks for the compliment and the challenge. I have been kicking this around in my head for a couple of weeks and your challenge made me want to do it that much more.
Chris, The overall diameter of the grip is only 1" x 1.5" long on each grip piece, along with the wenge that is a very porous wood, so the weight is not all that bad. I had to fill the voids with CA to get a level finish. The padauk is on the light side for exotic woods as well, the overall weight is about the same if not a little less than the burl cork that I have been using.
