I used jungle cock, peacock, grizzly hackle, pheasant, and guinea hen for the feathers. I also inlaid two Australian opals. Covered with Flex Coat color preserver, and Threadmaster.

Chris, it sounds like you are surprised you are getting all these comments. Hopefully you weren't afraid to post for fear of getting poor feedback, becasue these are really well done. If you've got more rods like this, please post them.

Thanks, Mick. Billy, I was a little anxious to see how these rods would be received. I'm probably too hard on myself, but with the great comments that have been posted, I think I will go through my rods, take more pics and then post them. Thanks again to everyone who has looked!

Great job Chris. The feathers are spot on and the Opal touch adds that bit of contrasting colour. I have done a few with opals and they really set off the area in front of the grip.
