Man that is awesome Bill. Just had a flashback. Gonna tell us what you added to the finish and a bit more about the wrap stuff you used.

Thank you very much!! This wrap was the "kitchen sink". It is a 7 ft, med heavy, rock cod jig stick. A guy I have built several rods for asked me to build this rod and told me "Just go crazy and have fun with the style and colors". I did. When I started on the butt wrap, I looked around at the stuff on the bench I have collected over the years. You know what I mean. The thread is Gudebrod size C and standard pearl and blue braid from left over pieces. I tried to make a fish eye out of the diamond but it ended up looking more like a fish's ____ instead. I found a bottle of fire opal glitter and added that to the final coat of epoxy. I found the bottle of glitter under an old fly tying kit, which was on top of a 2 year old note from my wife reminding (threatening) me to do some things around the house... Customer specs are fine, but, I really had fun with this one. Thank you again for your kind words. Bill
