I finished a 6 wt. Tiger Eye rod for a friend of mine and took it to a pond to test cast some deer hair bugs with it. My nephew borrowed the rod and a few minutes later he caught this bass.

I agree with Mike plus it seems to me that maybe that handsome young man ought to be giving his uncle some fishing lessons.

That he did, Emory. He said that I had been slapping water for an hour and hadn't caught anything and he borrows the rod and five minutes later he had a bass. Then to make matters worse, I had to treat him to a steak dinner and a fine cigar. He is my favorite nephew and fishing pardner. I supplied room and board while he went to college. He now is an accountant with UPS. He did ask me to build him a spinning rod though. He told me he was going to show me how to catch bass using one.

I can kinda see the resemblence, although I have to agree he is much better looking. What reel are you using?
