Al, I actually used three coats of flock for this to add bulk and hopefully durability.

I'll bet it feels good when it's a little nippy out.

Michael,
On my first flocking attempt I was to concerned about having the glue run and as a result I got an even but sparse flocking job. To put on another coat I assume you are just putting a second coating of glue and flock over the first coat. Is this correct?

Stan, I didn't like the sparse 1st coat either, so I went right over the top with more adhesive and more flock, and again. You may like the results.

I don't really know AL, inside the house it just feels fuzzy!

Mike, I love the masking tape transition on the third rod! Sorry, couldn't resist - seriously, these all look GREAT!! I love the look of the NPS against the cork tape. Are these inshore/saltwater rods? I've toyed with the idea of cork tape in the split area of light/medium freshwater rods but have not done it yet.

These are inshore salt and surf rods. Cork tape isn't very user freindly for the FW application...and its heavy. (I like the masking tape too, blends well with the cork..lol)

That was my concern over using it on a FW rod - thanks for the info on that, I won't waste time/effort/money on it :-)
