Michael that is stunning - I love the color selection and the execution looks perfect. Two questions - will you use 811 on that black background, and will this one be at the show?

Thanks Italo and Jerry. I'll used a thinned 811 on it this afternoon without a hitch, colors bounced right back with very limited bleed, needs two more coats in order to get the same amount of solids as would a full strength coat. This rod was suppose to be in High Point but a snow storm shifted my work schedule a day.

Thats too bad it won't make it - I was hoping I'd see that one in real time, especially after seeing the picture with the weave as well - Wow! Maybe your accountant can figure out how to turn that 6 or 7 hundred you'll owe yourself into a tax credit lol
I was curious on the cp, as I just finished a black background the same way - 3 coats dof diluted 811 with no issues, but when the epoxy went on, the "crystals" appeared. (this "crystal" phenomena was discussed in a thread under Jim Upton's recent Parrot weave post). Anyway I was just curious. The overall look on mine is OK but under the lights you can definately see them. I hope you have better luck.

JErry, please bring that rod for the booth display, and a topic of conversation. I'll have a couple of "Spotted" epoxy finishes to show you as well. Maybe a round table discussion might bring a method to fix this issue.

The dragoneye has that fuzzy look in the black, hopefully the crosswraps black will have the same look so it matches. With the exception of mathematical equations...nothings perfect. If someone comments on your crystals? They're looking to close!! LOL
