hi Darrel,are those rod make for spinning ?is there any advantage in using it.it look like is little bit lighter .nice rod .Danny

Danny,
They are spinning rods. These were built very specifically for vertically jigging 3/16 - 1/4 oz leadhead jigs in current for light-biting sauger and walleye. They are very light, very sensitive, and have caught a lot of fish this year. Easy to build too.

The reels are fastened to the underside of the cork handle, close to the tip end, positioned so that the reel stem is between my little finger and ring finger, and my thumb and index finger are on the blank. I use 3/4" strapping tape, encased under 1" electrical shrink tubing. Fun rods.

Any chance to see a pic with reel installed? I think the handle looks great and would like to build 1. Any more info would be great.
