I noticed a similar guide wrap about 6 months ago & liked it very much. I've now use it on two of my last four rods.
I like this wrap for it's simplicity, particularly if the rod already has a decorative butt wrap, I also like to include the main butt wrap colour in the guide binding.
The rod is a samurai NV7 6-8kg, will go with a shimano bait runner, to be used for float line fishing off the coast here, likely species - snapper & yellow tail kings.
