Thanks everybody...if the weather is okay around the Expo weekend, I hope to drive this rod south so that others, like Italo, can help me finish it. Doc, its NOT good for the eyes. Its on a light salt rod and I'm not worried about the strength based on the same arguement of Gudebrod D versus Gudebrod A question..more wraps per pound strength. (I'm still using, and others are test casting with 4 oz lead, a spriral wrapped Calstar, wrapped with Poly 40 and NO
finish. So I'm not too worried about it...heck, threadless guidewraps are the rage these days so this rod will be soo much lighter than 40 wt!)
Billy...need NEW patterns!!

Very nice wrap. I really like the color combo and the clean job you did wrapping it.

I ment strenght for packing and tightening not holding the guides. Wondered if it breaks very easy. Thinking of playing with some 60 for weaving something very special

Mike, that is a nice one - I like the colors and the pattern. You must have sanded your fingers with 600 grit not to have frayed that 60 wt!

Doc...carefull with your packing tools. Its rather fragile, and I cut a few threads during packing episodes.
Jerry, I went to 600 grit on the Dewalt, supliment with a "Buff Puff" and Aloe........smooothe like mayonaise!! LOL

Very similar to 40 wt, but with a greater velocity in lateral transendicular motion once the bond is broken. Quite impressive.
