Which grips would you use these on. Do they transmit the vibrations better?

Not sure on the vibrations, but my hands are rarely on the handle when I'm fishing anyway. They are pretty light and very comfortable, though. Just another option to play with, you know me, Doc!!!

Very nice. Do they have epoxy over them?

I put a coat of Threadmaster over them but not sure if I like that. First time. On the one with the wider rattan on it, I used a torch to scorch it before I wrapped it (stole that from Kevin Graybeal)

Mike - It looks great. What do you have under the wrap to support it?

Mark, Cheap pre-formed cork grips I picked up at Charlotte for 75 cents last year.

I like 'em, Mike! Always looking at new materials for grips.

Mike,
Thanks to you, Kevin, and a few others who have
posted here for keeping Rattan a classy handle
material. It's been with us in this craft for over a century. My personal favorite. Great work.
You've got mail.

Mike, they look great. I have one I made and posted and found out the hard way that you can not make the grip handle very long. It extends the whole handle section too much if you use a split grip. I also like the marine varnish over the ratan better than anything else. It is very thin and looks great. For those who dont have one, make it because it is a feel that you will really like. My next fly rod will probably have a ratan handle.

Mike, they look very nice indeed. Is that a thread from the end wrap riding down the spiraling groove?
