After having a near death experiance caused by heart problems while fishing, I dropped a custom rod in the water. The members of TSS came through with components for me to replace this rod,,,here are the results.I gave thanks for life by useing olive wood and adding praying hands(serinity prayer).

Bill - The rod looks very nice and has some very nice lines to the grip. Living in the North we don't have much in the line of Olive wood, is it easy to turn? I looks like it has great character. Mark

Thank you for the good remarks, the wood is olivewood from the middle east (bethlahem) a place by my house in cleveland oh (rockler) had it in stock. It is a little pricy 2x2x15 (20.00) but is some beutiful wood.It is a fairly hard and heavy wood that turns nicley.I drill out more on the inside to help with the weight, but not too much, it balances well with the reel.
