This may not look like much but it's what I make my checkers on. The main feature is it keeps your work from falling through the back of the miter saw. The pivot is used to hold the work and keep your fingers away from the blade. The big thing is just don't cut all the way through the jig, you just need to cut the stock and a little bit of the jig. Once again not much to look at but it works.
