Sorry about the blurry pic, it's also the fist time I have taken a photo of a rod. Any suggestions as to how I get better picture results would be appreciated. I have a new Kodak digital and used it on close up setting and this seem the best I could get. My second rod is a #9 wt GLoomis fly rod with a fighting but that I will post pics of in the next few days with similar Graphics.

Out of curiousity, where do you use a fresh water "surf" rod?

Gary, You just about have to use a tripod and the self timer when in Macro mode as any movement/vibration is reall amplified.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Thanks for the photo tip Mike, I will give that a try tonight. For Ernie, I use this rod on the south shore of Georgian Bay usually around the river mouths where the Steelhead run. There is only a hand full of us that do this so it's kind of unique. If you interested send me an e-mail and I will send a pic of the spot from last week.

Shaded split back Butterfly as wrap #1, superb!! (I'm trsting out some new adjectives this year, leave me alone). Taking a pic is MUCH easier than that - don't get too close to teh rod, hold it steady press the button half way to focus, take a deep breathe, hold it, and press down nice and soft. IF you cannot hold steady, teh tripod will work, but no need for a timer thing. Background is VERY important, what happened to you is the camera focused on teh paper and not teh wrap. Next time try taking 2 seperate pics instead of teh 2-pieces of the rod in teh same pic. Take about 30 pictures, and pik the best one. Do you have photo editting software? If so it's even easier, as you can zoom in and crop to get what you have there.
