Handheld sewing machine motor with 3M discs. Acts like a dremel at high speed, but as you see the grinding discs are much larger. Saw something similar at a Rodcrafter Seminar and adapted it to my needs. Couplings are available at either Grainger, MSC, or McMaster- Carr.

Good idea, Mike. Could also add a plug-in foot pedal to use most any speed. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I am sewing a pocket on your free shirt! Can you tell me why there is a longer 1/4" allthread bolt on the left side of the motor? Could it be that you like to mess around with stuff too?

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, you also seem to have as much drip as I do along the bottom of your can of PG - I did the same thing, a #6 (or #8) eye screw, and get a lot of drip. I noticed Bill Stevens used a screw, and doesnt appear to have any drip, and was wondering if it makes for a better setup. [ link ]

Oh No Caught Again! That can is empty and was sent to Tom for picture taking purposes. My "use" can has about an inch extension of threaded Perma Gloss hardened on the outside. I am desperate to find a longer screw at present.

You guys are soo observant. Bill and Bill, the extra long shaft was for mounting purposes when this was attatched to a base and had a foot pedal. I like it hand held much better. The PG can? I really don't mind the residual spillage. At least with this method I CAN use permagloss, all the other ways failed miserablly for me. (I filled this can after last years show, and its still in liquid form!)

I keep looking in teh background for some hidden thingy I am supposed to be looking for, and I can't see anything. Funny, when I looked at this pic I went to see if I sent yu MY can as it looks exactly teh same as that. NOzt time I'm going to seal teh hole with 5 minute epoxy so much less drips out.
