30lb rod to be used mostly for vertical jigging here in Japan for oilfish and maybe tuna or yellowtail.
Finally getting more creative in my rods other than "wrap and fish as soon as I can" mode. Pictures taken after CP and 1 coat permaglos.

Very nice work Phil. Looks tight, clean and straight. What more can you want. Super color cordination.

Nice color match. I see that you still prefer spinning over casting. You are the only guy that I ever fished with that used ultralight spinning gear to catch sheephead in the 5 lb. plus range and did it without any problems.

Thanks for the compliments.
Ellis- whole spinning deal depends on what I'm doing. Vertical jigging Japanese style is a bit easier for me with the spinning reel. The whole jerk with right hand and reel with left with the reel under the rod seems a bit more natural, although I've done it with the baitcasters as well.
