Here is another idea for a spin fly handle design (rod in the foreground). The Fuji 18mm seat is mounted on a full-length flex coat arbor and is extremely light. In my opinion the rod handle is very comfortable in both spinning and fly rod use, although unconventional looking. I used the St. Croix 4F906.2 blank. Rod was designed to be good trout/bass/panfish rod with nymphs, streamers, small jigs, or small bait with split shot. Fly grip and seat is Australian Cypress made by Herb Knowlton of Michigan.
