Thanks guys,
I did try to keep it masculine. No bright colors (except the rockfish decal) or unnecessary wraps. I wish I had used something darker than that cork, but not foam.

I think it looks great, in keeping with the clean look. But on the next one (and there is always a next one ) you might think about some of Andy Dear's exotic burl. He has 3 or 4 shades going all the way to a burnt cork darkness. Here's a popping rod that uses it [ link ]
