Good stuff Doug! Did you carve out the reel seat?
Good color work too. Greens, blue and purple.. a combination I wouldn't have thought would look good. And for your first color change weave you used white as the wrap? Brave man!!! Weave looks good. Very tight. Only real flaw I see are the slight gaps in the green tie off bands. Real nice job on the butt wrap pattern too. One of your best!

Thanks, guys. Mick, I had heck with the tie offs wrapping metallic green and yellow at the same time. The only saving grace to the wrap is the picture shows the problem with the wrapping threads falling off the weave threads alot more than it does in person.

The dreaded curse of the camera! Half of what I do looks great, right up until I take a picture. Can't see the problems by eye, but knowing they are there bugs me. Really does look great Doug. I know how much of a pain side by side wraps can be, especially on end bands, I just wanted to give you a hard time. haha
Now what's the story on the reel seat?

Mick, Mike, the reel seat was made and sent to me by fellow rodbuilder Noel Spann.
