For some reason the picture didnt come out well. On the right of the wrap there is no finish and the color is a graphite gray. On the left of the guide wrap before the butt wrap has two coats of finish and it is perfectly clear in person.

The phots have a lot of glare and it appears you should maybe burnished more. The gray rod appears to have some foreign material on the wrap.
