Your use of the work ok in little letters could at least be all CAPS! I am curious - who is your mentor? If you are coming on stream at this high level I hope I live long enough to see one of your rods 5 years down stream!

Bill, Thank you for kind words. The mentors I have had are the best, ALL OF YOU. The truth is that my brother gave me the rod building equipment ten years ago, with the items to build the first rod, his. I think he has just about worn it out. I built four of five rods and than lost interest mostly because I did not see myself progressing and had no one that I could turn to for help.

However a few years ago I moved to Florida and needing new rods for fishing here and than this wonderful thing happened, I found this web site (Thanks Tom and all those that give input). I now really have the bug. So I guess you could say I am not new at this. Although I am self taught (I think most of us are) I have been doing it for a while, I think I am up to about thrity rods for family, friend and a few customers. Mostly in the last four years.

I am also interested in seeing what my rods look like in five years. With all the help here I think that they may be something that even I can be happy with. YES, I do have a problem with perfection. LOL Thanks Again.
