Took me about fifteen minutes to make this one. As it is pictured, this jig will cut 1/8" slices,(1/8" steel strap was used) but can be made to make bigger slices by adding small washers between the bottom two pieces of steel strap and the wood base. Just hold the rings against flat against the wood base and slip your saw between the parallel straps and slice away.

Very simple. I guess that you could also bore holes in the wood at different depths saw rings of different thicknesses. Just a thought.
