Fuji BLG 10 running guide on spiral wrapped king mackeral live bait stick. Someone recently said they don't like the 'look' of the Forhan Wrap. I can't understand why not? I attempted to show this rod's owner the locking wrap, but for the life of me couldn't distinguish between the wrap and the locks. He'll have to just trust me they are there. By the way, those are trim bands...no underwrap.

Couldn't agree more. A well done forhan is hardly noticeable and the benefits far outweigh a "straight" wrap. Especially strange to me is when folks refuse to do a forhan but insist on a straight "blocking" wrap, which uses essentially the same amount of thread with far less benefit, using "tunnel filling" as an excuse. If you do your finish right, tunnels are filled no matter what wrap, or finish, that you use, even though finish doesn't penetrate thread.
