This break occurred just above the guide. Rod was said to have been in the boat's rod holder while in car wash. Owner thinks rod got hung on something as he drove boat out of car wash.

You'll have to strip that guide off to effect the repair, then rewrap it over the repair. Good luck on this one. Smile!
