Yoiu're going to hate me....but - nice color selection and epoxy job, but the trim bands seem to have different lengths. Not sure if this was done on purpose, but if not - either count the number of turns for trim and use that number ALWAYS (say size 20 gets a 5 turn trim, size 10 3 turn, etc). Or get a set of $3 dividers and preset them to teh width of the trim and just check them quick.

Hey Billy

I actually meant to have them different widths, I used 3 turns for the bottom and only two for the top. But thanks for the suggestions, I didn't know about those dividers.

Sorry, good job then. As I said, I didn't know if it was done on purpose or not, and offered a suggestion for a tool I happen to use a lot. I got mine for $4 from Grizzly.

Hi Billy, thanks for the suggestion of the tool. What is it called exactly? It seems like a very useful little tool to have. Btw, in my previous post, I meant to say "Hey Billy", and then what followed, hope I didn't come across offensive or anything! Thanks again.

[ link ] I jus ordered 2 more of these, and I aleady had one from a couple of years back. What d you expect for $3? THe new ones were not as nice as the one I have been using, I had to send one back since the tips didn't meet up & was defective, and the other one is hard to adjust. However, it's a great tool to have for a lot of things. I do a lot of trim rings in grips - to get a matching length of grip on both sides of the trim band, I use the dividers. Underwrap length, trim lengths - just preset it and don't forget to check it while you work, lol.
