This rod was build for a fishing friend who is a Duke grad, thus the Blue Devil weave on the split rear grip. Being a Carolina guy myself, I had to work in some Carolina Blue in the butt wrap to get suitable ACC balance on the rod.
This is a lightweight surf rod built for use with a Shimano Stradic 4000 reel.
Three different color schemes were used for each rod area (split grip, butt wrap and guide wrap areas).

HAHAHA!!! Eff Duke! Did you give him a half off nudy bar coupon with a purchase of Lacrosse season tickets? Did you tell him why the wrap is Baby Blue?
