Roughing to round, roughing to shape (note inletting done first this time hahahah), domed butt cap with embedded fly and gold leaf flakes and complete grip assy with pearl reel seat.

Thanks guys. One of these days I'll pick the lock on my wallet and hang up the hand tools. Soon, if I know what's good for me. Right after the center pic was taken, I planed off a bit of finger.. KIDS, if you try this at home, wear a glove on the holding hand!!! hahahah... The fighting butt, btw, is the reshaped forward part of the grip that I broke while fitting the reel seat.
Mark, this is part of the wood rod I'm doing. Everything is western red cedar. Almost too easy to work.

That is some really nice work, and all down by hand without a lathe is amazing.
