My 2nd tartan using Madeira thread. Camo colors were used (1738, 1956, 1884, 1657, 1790).

Hi Jim,

Super work and this is the first time I'm using Madeira so could you please help me with the numbers for the red, black and the orange like colour in the second band of colours in the diamond?

I would also appreciate if you be willing to share the sequence of colours from the centre of the diamond outward.

Many thanks

Dillon, sorry, I didn't write anything down on the sequence at all. Look at the top in the photo details for the colors I used. They (Madeira) uses a number system for there colors.

Hi Jim,

Many thanks for your reply however, the numbers you gave are 1738, 1956, 1884, 1657, 1790. I've already gotten these colours however, there isn't the red, black & orange like colour that you used in the second band of the diamond.

Do you still remember the numbers for those colours please?

Many thanks again.

Dillon, these are the only color that were used. Remember the color are going to be transparent so the colors are going to change. Look at the "red", it's really "brown". You should do a few test wraps and play around with these colors for a tartan. Keep me posted.

Hi Jim,

Many thanks again for such a quick reply. I've got to wet those threads I bought!!! Brown to red! I had no idea that the bleed through change can be so drastic! Anyway, I am really keen to see what comes out of this cus the blank is this really weird bamboo colour. It's a Japanese blank called the Seed Shiren DJ something or another but it is going to be so unique to do a tartan on this base colour LOL!

Will definately keep you posted and many thanks again for your info and advice.

Best wishes, Dillon
