Cool! I like that a lot! Did you over bore and use arbors?

Thanks Ray - No arbors on the upper half there is a joint at the Maple so the upper portion is tapered and fit to the rod. The lower half was tight at the end and I used a tape arbor on upper half of that section.

Thanks Mark,
The reason I asked about arbors is because of a trick that some use to reduce the volume of wood and thus lower the weight. I really love wood handles but some are quite heavy. Thanks for posting!!
