Very nice!! I'm partial to wood. How is the weight factor of the apple wood?

Not bad at all, lighter than maple and birch and this is a fairly heavy rod so it doesn't feel heavy at all. Some very wierd wood to work with, when I was drilling it the chips came off sorta ribbony.
