Thanks, Mark! Considering your work, I appreciate it! ScottIt's a metal button from a fabric store. I turned an inlet in a burl ring and inlaid it and filled with finish and a coat of Permagloss for durability. Buttons will give you a LOT of options

Mike, thanks for reply. I have been thinking of hitting the junk stores to see if there was some kind of oldstyle buttons to try. Nice to know it works.
