This is what you do not want to see. The epoxy caused the green thread to loosen and come a part. I wrapped the red and white threads in a flash, but I had nothing but trouble with the green thread. I am pretty sure thread gremlins had some thing to do with this!

Bummer on the thread loosening, but very tight wrap. Not that easy to get those colors to come out so solid.

Rich,
Maybe you should have done the green wrap first, so you'd be packing against the taper instead of with it. I'd think that would make the threads tighter. It does on blanks.
