Phil was on his way to Japan and stopped at Galveston for a day of fishing with me. The tide was too low to fish the marsh so we settled for some sheephead under the causeway. Phis is a good fisherman.

Those were some good sized sheephead caught by Phil, his wife and his dad. Glad I got to meet you all.

Phil scaped some barnacles off of the pilings and put some on a tiny hook. His party caught five that size. I just sat back and watched them catch them on ultra light spinning tackle.

Ellis, the price of guide services increases significantly if you call this species of fish by the name of "Bay Snapper"! One that size is quite valuable. Their teeth can be sold at the flea market for replacement dentures! Also one last little thing from the swamp - if you poach them whole in Louisiana Crab Boil Seasoning you can package the flaked meat and sell it to resturants as "Lump White Crabmeat". We haul all we can to the Houston Resturant market so they can have enough for crabcakes.
