After more than a year and a bunch of rods for my friends & family, I finally get to build some for myself. left to right: 4C70MHF, 4S70MM & 4C69MLXF with Alps reel seat.

What kind of blanks are those and does the alps seat make the rod heavy?
Nice work!

They are all St Croix SC4 blanks. The Alps seems to add a bit more weight than a skeleton w/insert, but it balances the rod better too. I haven't wrapped & finished it yet, so I can't say for sure how it is going to be.

Thank you. I did not weight it, but I have another one with an arbor installed. I will weigh it when I get a chance.
I weightd it on an old digital postal scale. It is 2.3oz. with a full length Flex Coat arbor (unreamed) rod bonded in place.
