Seems a bit pricey for a single pattern. I don't really foresee getting into many complex patterns.

You can try experimenting the Paint application in Windows. You can layout cross wrap designs that way. It does have the same effect as what you would get wrapping. Probably not as easy to use as something like visual wrap...but it does come free. Just use the line tool to create your wrap the same way you would in wrapping up and down the rod.

It may be easier to do this with a weave, but I know I could come up with something close with Visualwrap.
