Put a matching wrap of thread on it. I think that would look awesome. Maybe silk or something to keep the weight down.

Would the rest of the overcoat peel off well enough to make it all silver, without causing problems? I recall seeing these in all silver at the show.

Yes, Steve, the rest will eventually peel off and the silver is a bit soft and rough to the touch. I use rod holders alot, so this is one material I'm going to stay away from.

try a coat of mas epoxy over the texalium to toughen it up it will make a huge difference
