I turned a reel seat from acrylic blank, this material is pleasure to work with. No need to polish after turning, surface is perfect after your parting tools touch. I also turned a winding check from same material. Cork from U22 is going to be removed and I make another cork pattern for its place....

Craft Supplies USA and HUT products are good sources for the acrylic materials. Make sure you get a square that is large enough to fit your seat.

Just checked the diameter which was 19mm so should be adequate. Just drill it in lathe to get hole in center and you'll be fine...

Dave's website is [ link ]

Need to check those manufacturers as well what Tom suggested, would like to have few pieces with diameter of at least 30mm, just to make few accent rings into handle which match perfectly to reel seat....

Largest blanks I have found is .75 x .75 x 5.5 at Arizona Silhouette.
