Ray, the purple is all thread. The blank is CTS silver/mwtallic himmer to it. Great blank.
Myles, it's an American Tackle Aero reel seat really nice. Spinning seat although Mudhole lists it as a casting seat

Thanks, guys! Doc, I love that seat. Mudhole has it listed as a casting seat but the only way that I've seen it used is as a spinning seat. I don't think that it would be very comfortable as casting.
