The wrap is done right on the blank before the reel seat is put on, I use drywall tape for the reel seat if I have a cork grip. Once dry I add epoxey to seat up the drywall tape. With a wood grip the reel seat fits on to the wood, much easier.
Cheers Ron.

Alex...have ya thought about using a piece of scrap blank that is bigger to go between the hoods and have a bigger wrapping surface instead of wrapping directly to the blank? Just a thought but you do have a good idea there.

Thanks both good ideas. I have a "loom" but never used it maybe it's time as I have done this so much I do not need directions to make it.
It also would be easier to do it on a scrap piece, because if it does not line up exactly it has to be scraped. It would also make ataching the reel seat easier, thank a lot for the tips. The first one I posted will have to be finished this way as It is already on the blank.
Cheers Ron.
