I had a spare 15 hours tp spend cutting and gluing this up. It's not in the grip yet, which is why it looks "dirty", all that is is excess contact cement which will be sanded off when the grip is complete. All the black lines in the fins are 1/16 - 1/32 of an inch thick, when it's sanded they will look like black lines, not fat lines teh way they look now.
This was a practice piece, I'm going ot make a rod fo rmy Dad with a NY Ranger's Logo, then a few more "display pieces" of fish.

I know it is 2 5/8" from the top of the top fin to the bottom of the bottom fin. I would guess between 4 1/4" - 4 3/4" long. IT's too big for a Bass rod, plus I do not like the white in teh face, nor teh lack of white in the bottom of the body. It was a test anyhow, so I"m not worried. Next fish I do will probably be a Wahoo, followed by a GIGANTIC Sturgeon with a goatee, 9" long 2 1/2" wide. I might be inclined to do a Walleye if I'm "allowed" to do teh handles on a walleye rod (hint = lol)

Love that sly eyed look. Looks like he is eying off a baitfish about to meet its fate.

Take a look around that site, I'll be making a few more of these inlays for myself. As you can see, I should have stuck with more white in teh face & belly - next time I will.
