When Andy's fishing day was done he gave his catch to an old man who tended a vegetable stand next door to the fishing camp. This is all that remains of the house that the old man lived in! He has not been seen since the storm. When Andy looks at the CTS rod on display in Charlotte the look on his face may tell the story. Each of the 15 rods on display will have a different set of pictures and story!

Bill, what is the prognosis for areas south of New Orleans? I have been fishing in Venice each March during the past several years and will miss not being able to go next month. Southern Louisiana has a truly unique and very special fishery, hopefully it will rebound just as the people will...Bret

Six months after the storm. From Port Sulphur to Venice 43 miles nothing has been restored - no power, no business, no Nada! A few of the offshore charters who operated out of the area, who moved their boats inland, have moved to Grand Isle and are enjoying the fantastic tuna fishing at the Midnight Lump. Five or six inshore captains are operating out of their trucks with portable generators are fishing. The fishing is a throw back to the old days - fish are everywhere! If you come to the area and bring your own boat be sure to have all the up to date licences, registration and bill of sale. There are checkpoints that require all paperwork to let a exiting boat pass. If you do not have the necessary paperwork your boat will join the ones in the pile!

We still have several thousand people here in Houston that want to go back home to Louisiana but to what?
