I machined these on my engine lathe a few months ago for a completely un-related project. I just re machined a radiused outer edge on a couple of them and tossed them into a batch of other parts I needed to have plated for a customer.

Awesome IDEA!!! Question for you? How costly would these be if you were to make a bunch in different diameters etc............ I think you may have come up with a winner!!

Very neat idea. One suggestion, after it is in the proper place and glued, coat with clear to keep the rubber from getting brittle and falling apart.
