A better post of a past rod I built. I can see I have to work on my photo skills and the A over A thread shows a gap too.

Nice Idea Dan. Is the diamond all thread or is some of it the braid type stuff.
A lot of work to do on each guide but really nice.

Thanks James but this is Wylie from the West Coast get together. The diamond is all rod wrapping threads. The diamond was only done on the 40mm Double Foot Holo Guide and the other pictures show how I match up the guide wrap pattern which includes the shape of the coatings on each guide as well as the tip. It's a spinning rod that I built for my friend Dan for Catfish fishing. He's rigged it with a baitrunner that really works well. I'll try to find the butt wrap now and post it.
Oh, I'm sorry James that multi colored thread is the Prism thread by Glissen Gloss. That's what's on the spool anyways.

Sorry Wylie. Some times my brain goes into freespool(more often than not) Even more impressive now that I know it is all thread. Nice and Tight.

No worries Doc, I have been known to get excited and set the hook without the anti off. Smile
Yep only took me three tries to get the text on this post right and only to find I had it right the first time.
