Are you able to wrap A over A with light enough tension to keep it from pulling through the underwrap layer without any difficulty. I can do it A nylon over A metallic without any trouble but when I use nylon for both I have trouble unless I apply a coat of CP to the underlying color. What do you use for a burnishing tool? If I was a younger person I would denounce decals and head off on the road of weaving - - sure would like the opportunity to watch you work in real time speed for a couple of hours!

Hi Bill. I wrap very tight with all my wrapping that I dont seem to have a problem warpping the same size threads over each other. I might back off the tension a bit on the top wrap but not a lot. As for the burnishing tool I either use one of those Nylon tools from Gudebrod or a Dental too made for me by one of my fellow rod builders. It would be nice to meet some day. Before I cash in I still want to make a trip across our great United States visiting un met friends and catching fish in every state and on every coast. You are never too old to weave Bill. I will be there to help you if you need me.

Hey Doc
I sure hope the pics I sent you of my wrapping attempts weren't the inspiration for this.
You wraps are pure art as always.

Hey Doc! I know this was a "tie off" illustration but the weave looks great. It looks like it was embroidered on there. I may buy myself a wonder weaver for Christmas and hopefully some day make weaves almost as good as yours. LOL Great job Doc!

I still don't get how it comes out so smooth, and not lumpy from the thread underneath...or is it lumpy on the other side? Heck I get a lump just from a single thread tag. Guess its just something ya have to see and do to understand. PS - I've got your video, excellent stuff!! Now if I can just lay a thread straight I might be off to a start.
