7 colours, all Madeira except for n.c.p white. 100x 233 wraps. Not as tight as i'd have liked - lot of gapping on close inspection, but overall i'm really happy with how it turned out. Shame it's not on a rod!

Nicely done. You probably could have gotten rid of some of the little gaps if you would have rolled the thread at the end if you use CP that really flattens the thread and helps reduce gapping. For some reason I cannot post on the other version of this.

Thank you Doc. i do use cp and roll to flatten my weaves, but in this case on the ncp white of homers shirt i still could't get out all the gaps when i tried to flattern it. and on the madeira thread i do let the cp almost dry like you say in your tutorial and roll it, but ive cursed myself a few times especially on the lighter colours where ive rolled to hard and have marked the thread. by the way, i dont know if you will remember me but it must be over 10 years ago i wrote you to ask for the mako shark head wweave i was doing for a charity rod and you kindly sent it to me. well that rod sold welland made a tidy amount for the charity due to your pattern. we had a family crisis and i never did thank you. i have a lot more samples of my weaves i will be putting up when i can get some pictures taken this week. Thanks again, cheers Doc!

Thanks Billy, sorry you were unable to comment before. yeah, i've seen that bart grip of yours and some of your others - really outstanding work there! i'm still quite old school using graph paper to make my weave patterns. unfortunatly all my left lists are hand written, but eventually i hope to transfer them to my computer so i can email my patterns to others who'd like them.
